How Come Most Acupuncture Practitioners Do Not Need Much Promotion

Many acupuncture patients try it when all else has failed. Drugs and therapies offered by “traditional” modern medical doctors have disappointed them, and they don’t know what else to try.

Acupuncture and Oriental medicine works where other means of treatment won’t, simply because it works with the body’s systems instead of working against them. Prescription drugs work by concealing conditions, instead of fixing the underlying cause. For example, nearly every medical condition which ends in –itis, such as endocarditis, sinusitis and arthritis is an inflammation. Drugs normally block this natural process of inflammation, instead of addressing the root cause.

With the exception of chemotherapy drugs and antibiotics, drugs don’t actually lead to a cure. If you take a drug, normally you have to take it indefinitely.

Both modern medicine and Oriental medicine both must work with the natural healing mechanisms of the body to truly affect a cure. The difference is that Oriental medicine almost always works with these healing factors, while modern drugs tend to suppress them. No doctor or therapy can heal even the smallest cut. Only the body has that ability.

Something to consider: The single largest source of new patients is referrals from old patients. There’s a good reason for this — it works.

His book, “Never Market Again” shows how to create a practice relying on referrals and low cost means of reaching patients.
